My passion for the entertainment industry began at a very young age, while I was a young boy soldier training in Ethiopia. During that time, I experienced my first exposure to film when older soldiers brought a small television powered by a generator into our training camp. The movie being shown was Commando, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. At the time, I believed everything I saw on screen was real — and that moment left a lasting impression on me.
Later, living in Kenya and eventually settling in Australia, I came to understand the artistry and storytelling behind filmmaking. Wanting to experience the industry firsthand, I joined a talent agency and began working as an extra on film sets. From my very first experience on set, I developed a deep appreciation for the creativity, teamwork, and passion involved in film and television production.
Driven by this passion, I went on to study an Advanced Diploma of Screen and Stage Acting to further develop my understanding of performance and storytelling within the industry.
I founded African Talent with the vision of creating greater diversity, inclusion, and representation within the Australian entertainment industry. The agency was established to support African and multicultural talent by providing opportunities for aspiring performers, actors, models, and creatives to gain experience and pursue careers within film, television, and media.
African Talent is built on the belief that representation matters — that every individual deserves the opportunity to be seen, valued, and represented on screen. My goal is to continue creating pathways for diverse talent while contributing to a more inclusive and representative entertainment industry for future generations.
